Schumacher Eclipse 5

Been out of action from on road RC for almost 3 quarters, back to track for a couple of packs with the Schumacher Atom CC. The little bug still handle well, tires after juice treatment are still in good shape with decent grip.

Kaiyodo 1/35 Gacha Filege Kauz #5

Project has been put on hold to give way to scale airplanes, quickly resume in 2023.
Most of the parts are painted and coated with flat clear.

Next would be some light touch of weathering and wash, and a final coat of flat clear.

Imai 1/72 VF-1 #7

Polished canopy to prepare for masking / paint, and masked the exhausts inner wall for two tones - light grey and greenish light grey.

Applied another round of decals, with some additional light touch of Mr Weathering grey / black wash. Sealed everything with GX114 flat clear, installed the two exhausts on backpack.

Next and final is the preparation and installation of the few clear parts.

Imai 1/72 VF-1 #6

Build of the "head" - beside dealing with the seams, I drilled a hole at the end of the gun, and added some plastic sheet to cover the holes around the gun. I should have done the same on the legs' space armour too, I realise the need of doing so a bit too late.

Masked the space armour parts and applied a thin layer of Tamiya enamel black on to the side exhausts on the armour parts. There are a bit of round shape but I masked them in shape angle - after the spray, just use Tamiya X-20 to clean up the corners. Way easier than mask all the round corners.

Painted the gun under fuselage with Modo MX-02, and glued all parts together except the front part of fuselage and the "head".

Continue the decals work, and this time I used some left over decals from previous projects (non Macross), also added some pre-colored PE parts to the cockpit.

Applied a wash with 502 black + white oil on the bottom of fuselage, wings and 'legs", also try using white (light grey) Mr Weathering liquid to highlight the shape of the space armour, seems the outcome is acceptable.
