Decals round 3.

Let the decals and softener dry for 2 days before gloss coat and weathering.

Decals pass 2. This round included a number of thin lines which require some patience to get in right. 

Also found that I have misplaced the two decals in front of fuselage near canopy for the left and right side, luckily there are spare from the kit so I can re do mine.

Applied decals adhesive and softener and leave them overnight. A few more logo and couple of lines to go for the next pass.

First round of decals.

With the experience from building the previous Trumpeter 1/144 F-22A, I have applied decals very carefully this time. Tried to apply a few in different area first to avoid any interference between them before complete dry. The decals is very thin, which is both good and bad. It has a nice effect after applying successfully on the surface, but easy to damage during the application.

While they have been fixed on the correct position, applied a few drops of softener and leave it for a day.

Prepared and test fitted landing gears, it seems no lead weight is required in the front to avoid tail sitting.

Managed to airbrush the model in between rains. 

Color used :

Upper fuselage front - c306, rear c305

lower fuselage and drop tanks - c308

gear wells and door internal face - c156

nose cone is a mixture of c338 with a few drops of Gaia 1001 (silver) and Modo MX-02

exhaust is MX-02

Installed the drop tanks too.

The classic RF-84F, and FJ-2 in 1/72 scale.

Pre-shading using Tamiya panel line black.

Applied c306 in fuselage front, and c305 on rest of the upper surface. c308 on lower fuselage.

Airfix 1/72 P-40B #18 (additional of antenna)

Bought the AK elastic wire and used the previous completed model for testing. 

With a small drop of instant glue, it is easy to handle.

Installed metal pitot tube, the only option part I used for this build.

ICM 1/48 OV-10A and D

 I like combo dual (who is not ?). This kit comes with 2 OV-10 and can build in different variants.

Hawk in 1/32 scale

My favourite trainer now in 1/32 scale. 

Produced by Kinetic about 10 years ago, won't go wrong with its size and lots of experience sharing online for this kit.

Masked canopy - the mold does not show very clear line for masking. Did my best to get the shape masked. Hope this works.

First layer of primer for surface check.

The fins of the drop tanks seems to be too thick, sanded them down too after the first primer.
