BD11 #5

Installed ESC (Hobbywing XR10 160amp) and motor (Zombie outlaw 13.5T)

Wiring is much cleaner compared to the existing Xray T3 I am running lately. Partically it is due to the fact that the ESC comes with all black 12WG cables instead of the usual colorful wires.

BD11 comes with a motor cooling mount, I put on a 30mm cooling fan. A 40mm cooling fan would be better tho with Singapore weather.

There is limited space behind or around the ESC to mount the capacitor, I put it on top of the cooling fan for time being, and will have to look for a better way to mount it next.

A toy for childhood memory

Back in Hong Kong time, I spent some good weekend with this Pajero in Victoria Park with my dad.

This is not an actual re release, battery position has been changed from high CG to lower CG. With a hard plastic bodyshell, it is very close to the original design.

I will build this kit, and run it in Singapore parks, for good old memory.

Airfix 1/72 A-4B/Q #10

Preparing a few small parts for paint shop

And there was an accident (possibly 2nd time for this kit) when I cut off long and thin part which has two gates connecting to the tree - tailhook in this case, the part was broken into half when cut off the first gate. It could be due to the material, or the tension somehow being built into the tree / parts during injection process. I am not expert here, just blame guess.

Technically, there is a solution for it, and I have tried and it work well : first, cut off the portion of the tree holding the part, and then use two nippers to hold the two gates, finally, cut them off at same time !

Anyway, for the tailhook, I decide not to glue the broken pieces together. I use 0.3mm copper wire to create it.

New desktop workstation for modelling

Volks IMS 1/100 K.O.G. #7

Completed the inner frame build. Next would be a bath, before heading to paint shop.

Bandai 1/144 (?) Starwars Tie Adv X1 and Tie Fighter #4

Touch up the X1 with enamel paints - red and gun matel.

And gave a wash on the solar panel with AK air leak and stain liquid and the fuselage with AK landing gear liquid.

Try something different

Been trying to open my mind, and try something different which I usually would not try.

Sakura Wars - Spiricle Striker Mugen by Bandai and Tsugumori by Kotobukiya.

Frankly, I have no background of its story line or games (if it is one).

Ghost in the Shell

Volks IMS 1/100 K.O.G. #6

Right hand is built, except the palm. The joint between the shoulder and the upper arm seems a bit too loose, will have to add a bit of thickness on the stub to secure the construction especially for the armour weight.

Airfix 1/72 A-4B/Q #9

Very slow progress during past few months

Managed to spend a little time to update the build this weekend.  Installed one side of the air brake, and one side of the main gear post.

Gundam MG and HG kits

Look at the collection, beside the built Zaku II F2 (built) and PG Zaku II / RG Char, I don't have other Zaku.
How can it be !!!!!
Quickly picked up the best two I can imagine.

Tamiya 1/20 P-34 1976 #4

Putty work completed for the bottom chassis, not perfect, but good enough as the bottom :)

Was using handheld compressor with 0.2mm airbrush to spray the silver (Modo T024). Not smooth at all. Sanded the surface with #2000-4000 sanding sticks, and re applied SM205 with 0.3mm airbrush at 22PSI

Resin kit SAV 1/100 Engage SR2 #1

My 2nd FSS kit, my 2nd attempt on resin kit - SAV 1/100 Engage SR2

Tested build as it comes with some joints

Added 1mm cooper wire on each joints and do it again
Building this resin kit is a much easier job than the IMS kit.

Volks IMS 1/100 K.O.G. #5

Installed rest of the parts on both legs

And next step is to build both shoulder. Started a resin kit at that time.

Tyre Warmer

I guess my last use of this device has been 8 to 10 years ago.

Cooked the tyre with Mighty V3 blue can additive for about 10 mins at 80c, work well for 13.5 boost class for 6 mins run time.

Bandai 1/144 (?) Starwars Tie Adv X1 and Tie Fighter #3

Started masking work with the X1 - it is easlier :)

Masked one side, spray with GSI c308 blueish grey.
And then moved the masking take to the other side and do it again.

While masking started on Tie Fighter, I use the original canopy sticker as a template and cut the masking tape for the canopy. Canopy frame is spray with c305.
X1 basic color is done.
