1/35 Knight #3

It has been a long process to handle the seams on the main body, final touch was using UV putty and it seems acceptable result. Also fixed on the broken part toward the rear side using 0.5mm plastic card, UV putty, and lots of patience.

Test fit the other main parts and soon to proceed with the legs build.

Glued the parts together with instance glue, also add one 0.1mm plastic card in front under the senor as I have over-sand that area.

Bandai 1/144 (?) Starwars Tie Adv X1 and Tie Fighter #2

Applied GSI #1500 black primer, followed by a light coat of c308 (blueish grey) on the fuselage (should I call it this way ?)

The solar panels will require some masking work, so do the canopy.

Transformation - Transformer and Macross

Battleships in 1/700

Collection so far - 5 IJN, 1 German and 1 US.

GI Joe - Snake Eyes

Pairing with his speed cycle motorbike !

Volks IMS 1/100 K.O.G. #4

Continue the build, legs are the next step.

Structure is more or less like 4 faces of the vertical surface combined together to form the shape, plus a number of smaller parts to increase details. Mostly to deal with cleaning up gates and molding lines, no seams to be filled except the rear of the thigh where there are seams, but I think I would either ignore it, or use some thin plastic card to cover it.

Now my KOG can stand.

Bandai 1/144 (?) Starwars Tie Adv X1 and Tie Fighter #1

I need a weekend quick build suddenly. This is 11pm, Friday.

Browse through what is the handy one I can access to, and found this little box.

This is the one !

Follow the instruction on the back of the box cover, spent 30 mins to complete the X1, include cleaning the gates.

I can go to bed by mid night.

On Sat morning, I spent another 15 mins to finish the rest.

Despite the small scale (1/144 ??), the two fighters come with decent details. I will give them some color and perhaps some wash and weathering in future. For now, this kit serves the great purpose of weekend relax build.

1/35 Knight #2

My first resin kit - obviously slow progress, partially due to give-way to other projects in past 15 months, but also the learning and reading of how to handle resin model.

Work has not really stop, just slow, very slow progress over filling, sanding, priming surface and loop.

At the point when I satisfied with the result, I tried to fit the front cover and sensor on the nose area.

Bad thing happened ...

The already gap-filled, seamless front top of the machine split up.
And it is too obviously that it was my fault - I did not test fit this part to the main body and handle them from beginning.
Add some 1mm plastic sheet to fill that, and at the same time also add some 0.5mm plastic card on the rear of the body where the original resin part broken since I received the kit.

Applied some UV putty on both area, and another round of sanding, filling ... loop
While I am almost there, it is time to add the extra part onto the body, clean up the gates and test fit.

Tamiya 1/20 P-34 1976 #3

There are relatively large gap on the bottom chassis as it is meant to be AA battery slot.

Filled the gap with mixture of 0.1mm to 1mm plastic sheet, after it is fixed, cut the extra away and applied Finishers green putty.

Volks IMS 1/100 K.O.G. #3

Put the head and body together, after filling all to-be-visible gap and primer.

Wait, there is still a small gap missing on forehead, added a bit of CA to deal with it later.

Volks IMS 1/100 K.O.G. #2

Built head, upper body and waist, and started working on the lower body.

No major issue so far.  Brown primer on head / upper body and waist to check surface quality, seems not bad and just need a bit of putty to fill seams on forehead and lower body.
