Old car, still NIB - Mugen MTC1

Bought this when it was released I think in 2017. Never touch it or even open box since then.

Maybe a good candidate for 13.7 blinky ? 

Yokomo MS 1.0

No more BD series, now it is MS - stands for Master Speed

Since I am running BD11 and building BD12, why not MS 1.0 too ?

Spent another 1.5 hours on the B12, prepared and installed the 4 lower a-arms

So far the chassis is quite similar to BD11, except that the shape of the center motor mount and the fact that it can only accept small spur. One can say is is low profile design but somewhat troublesome when changing spur and also limited the spur / pinion combination. 

Novarossi NSR12S5 engine

Found this engine from my storage, sure it has been sleeping for over 10 years.

By looking at its piston, think I did a clean up last time. Rebuilt the clutch for FW05RR with a new no.6 glow plug on it. 

 

Infinity IF-15-II Wide

New from Infinity, wide edition of its 1/10 nitro kit with 235mm track width

Unlike the previous IF-15 Wide which comes with standard front one-way, this IF-15-II Wide is equipped with front and rear gear diff out of the box. 

Plan to run a standard OS 1204 motor on it

Yokomo BD12 build in progress #1

After running BD11 for couple of months, I can understand the modern RC car setup more. 

It is time to build its successor

This time, I plan to run it with modified motor - target for a 6.5T

Front bulkhead is quite similar to BD11, upper deck is split into two half this time and the upper mount for rear shocks are different than that of BD11 too.

This round it also comes with 3D printed bumper

It comes with 3D printed bumper, metal bottom chassis plate and whole bunch of graphite parts

Mounting the right wing

There is a large gap between the upper fuselage and the wing.

I have to do a bit of sanding and adjustment to fit it, yet there is a gap at the front edge which requires filler.

Just test fit the left wing, it is going to be the same exercise waiting for me.

Optima re release outing

Been a long while since the last run, and the secret place I ran this kit last time was no longer exist. Replaced the damaged 35T pinion and found a quiet road from business park and ran 2 packs with this lovely on-road buggy.

Xray RX8 23' and X4 25'

Applied Mr Color C306 on the edge of air intake, and MX02 on inner engine wall.

Installed air intake and engine, combined the fuselage.

Added a bit of details with Tamiya enamel paints and wash with Mr Weathering (grey) on the gear wells,  weapons compartment and cockpit.

Installed these components inside the top and bottom fuselage. Fitting is good.
