First touch of Kotobukiya model kit. Parts are as small as Gundam RG, fitting is not too bad. Waist part is a bit lose but I guess it is designed to improve movability. There are almost half of the parts made of ABS, painting would need special care. Completed page 1 of instruction manual so far, no glue required.
I only do minimum sanding for parts. Will decide what / how to paint later.

The inner frame of the Terror Mirage is very nice in my opinion (picture from its manual)
Applied a few wet coat of gloss clear.
let it dry for 3 days, and #800-2000 wet sanding.
Panel lines and light weathering before applied a layer of matt clear at the end. Finishing the rest of the small parts and call it a semi final.
Opened "box" in April but not really doing anything except washing the parts until today, cut the parts, sanding and trial build. Its construction is completely different than the Hasegawa 1/35 powered suit, panel lines are much deeper but also more "wide".
The build is straight forward, pending the hands and smaller parts to clean the seam lines.
Painted the antenna with Tamiya dark mica blue, installed it.
Added the final round of decals, decided it will be a number six, team S, number 6 to be exact.
Applied Tamiya XF1 on the thin wires between legs and feet, XF1 and X11 to add a bit of weathering overall.
Adding wires to the legs/feet and use 1mm copper instead of stock plastic to build the antenna.
Applied a light weathering and then the rest of decals.
Decal additive and softener is a must for the decals provided, otherwise they are not sticking well on the curve surface, and you can tell, this model kit is curvy !!

It can actually transform from stand-up form to the Rex. I would think, after the paint-work, who want to take the risk to transform - why not taking two ! or take another Rex instead, which is easily 1/2 of its price tag.
