Mugen MTC2 #1

One weekend of work :

Very solid arms and I have changed the original graphite chassis to WeiGo 1.5mm alloy chassis
Fit with a PowerHD S15-M servo and HobbyWing G4R 13.5T torque type motor.
The plan is to run in blinky mode.

First primer on F350 front body

The body has sign of vintage already - white turns yellowish and black dots ... sanded surface and washed.

Spray with 0.5mm Iwata, Gaia black/white mixture of surface primer on both inside and outside surface.

PR Racing V4TR #5 (completed)

Final step as always - bodyshell

Yokomo YZ-834B re release #2

After loading electronics, identified that rear spring cannot support the weight. Found a purple spring from Mugen MTX gas car which can be a good replacement. Front spring is original from the box. Front shock is filled with 400wt and 300wt for the rear.

Clean and mask the bodyshell for base white color and shading

Tamiya F350 test run in basement carpark

This time running with front bodyshell mounted.

No issue on gear shifting and the connecting rod works well.

However, found that the steering servo mounting screws are loosen after some run time.

Yokomo YZ-834B re release #1

One of the most memorable 4WD buggy racing machine in the RC history.

The chassis is pre-built, only need to install electroincs. The chassis seems to be wide, but actually space for electronics is limited. Picked up those with small footprint, eg LRP Quantum 2, KO receiver, low profile servo.

Wiring done, and test fitting the bodyshell. Fitting bodyshell is a challenge indeed - the rear mono shock has a few connecting rods which will block the bodyshell to move backward, while the metal bar on top will also limit how much head room the bodyshell can have.
