Continued with the build of both hands with the same two tones of gold finishing with a GSI H30 final coating.

Egress Vintage Restoration #2

Collect a few parts from the 2013 re release Egress : 

Installed an old Orca VTC Pro Spec MK2 ESC with 11.5 motor in blinky mode, together with a Futaba S3003 and KO receiver. Fit in 1/10 GP form tires, with 23T pinion to make final gear ratio 1:7.89.

Next is the battery. I don't want to go back to stick pack, and I tried to fit in a few different sizes of 2s Lipo. End up, settle with 2s shorty pack, and use the original hole on upper deck to connect to the battery pole, without any modification to the chassis. Just need to double side tape a few stopper around the battery to avoid its movement during run. 

The chassis has a Avente 2001 undertray when I bought it, I will keep it and now fit a re-re Egress body on top. It does not match with the undertray, but should be fine as an on-road car. 

Next, have to wash the original paints on the wing before the new paint job. 

REDS 521 GT engine on IGT8

Run in the 521 GT engine on IGT8. Keep the previous Reds 5GT engine to future GT project.

This engine has more top end compared to its previous model. The manifold also extends further and it is now getting close to the rear antiroll bar !

Egress Vintage Restoration #1

Potentially, Egress re release will be the next project after Optima and Hotshot. 

End up I am reviewing what I have in the inventory and found that I have also collected a vintage Egress (1989) some years ago. The chassis are similar to the 2013 release, and it has some older design parts (wheel hex, universal joints ... etc) also missing motor mount and body shell. Other than that, the parts are still functional, drive train is still smooth :)

I am planning to restore this beauty and use some modern parts to make it more durable. Will run it as a on road car also to protect it from the tough off road battle.
