Yokomo BD11 Project Started

After one year of collecting this kit, and don't know how many years since my last build of any TC ....

Decided to build this one before building the just arrived BD12.

First step is reading thru the manual, and applied CA glue on the bottom chassis edge.

The connection of upper deck to rear bulkhead is "floating", not exactly rigid as usual TC (I cannot really define usual TC now .....), interesting design. I will take my time to build this kit, first time ever to build "modern" TC with carbon graphite arms ....

Tested new rubber tires CA glue

Already tested once on the Xray buggy, and this time applied the CA on the bike. Unlike the usual thin CA, this type is a bit sticky, will see how it holds up.

Airfix 1/72 A-4B/Q #5

Cleaned up the seam on the cockpit cover, repainted and installed windshield. Fit is not bad.

Masked and glued on

Masked the rest of the fuselage for the main color

It is a long masking process which I think I did all of them in 3-4 sessions and delay for almost a month and a half ...

Finally, time to add the refueling probe, re-create the temperature probe with 0.3mm cooper wire, and the small fin behind canopy with 0.2mm plastic card.

Time for spraying again !
Black primer, and pre shading with c156 white and yellow (any yellow)
Covered with a thin layer of c315 grey
unmasking
