966e on Singapore PA 1/8 track
The track was quite empty, only another 1/8 GP there. In the first 10 laps when the batteries were still powerfully, the top speed on the long straight was satisfied. In field acceleration was also good thru out the whole session.
The car is under steering due to the combination of front one way and rear solid axle, but I can gun the throttle when exit corners to pull the car back to the driving line, not too hard to drive. After first 5min run, esc is about 73c and motor is around 65c. A cooling fan is needed on the esc IMO.
I am happy ;)

Share some setup on my Xray X12
While the F1 race is on, I would like to share 3 packs of laptime from today, experimented with my Xray X12.
Before the test, I have upgraded the HW 120A 1S to latest stock firmware v3 110930, with x12 6.5 Octa Wind and 1S 90c lipo. Rear tires diameter was 45.4mm to start with, rollout 42.3mm, ride height maintained at F 4.2mm R 4.6mm thru out the test. Tires are speedmind F 35 and R 30. Track is outdoor track located in Singapore - RaceWorks.
Pack 1
Front tires inner 1/3 with FX2, rear tires full tires with FX2
Setup is mainly follow manual, with rear down stop -1mm
Fastest single lap 15.667sec
Pack 2
Same as above + the following changes :
Remove 1 0.5mm shims from front upper arm (the one between c-clip and front upper arm) to allow more front "float"
Relub the rear side tube with Kyosho 30k oil
Fastest single lap 15.329sec
Finished 30 laps at 8:02
Pack 3
Same as above, expect replace FX2 with Ground Effect
Fastest single lap 15.256secn
Finished 31 laps at 8:06
After each pack, the motor is around 55C and ESC is around 75C, acceptable range in my opinion.

Plazma Ra in progress
Comments so far :
(1) some screws are not fitting very well with my Hudy tools
(2) the mid mount of the link system is VERY smooth
(3) easy to build and yet very smooth shock
(4) original spur can fit 16 balls in two rings
(5) the side link pod has long (see above) and short version, but I am not sure how this will affect the handling.
